A: Microlite® duct wrap falls under the very broad Scope of ASTM C 553, Standard Specification for Mineral Fiber Blanket Thermal Insulation for Commercial and Industrial Applications. Microlite® duct wrap complies with all requirements of ASTM C 553 Types I, II and III except maximum use temperature. ASTM C 553 sets a maximum use temperature of 450°F for Types I, II and III. Johns Manville sets a maximum use temperature of 350°F for unfaced Microlite® duct wrap and 250°F for faced Microlite® duct wrap.
